Our Story
Since 2017, we have been rooted in Austin and built on flavor. Our mission is to transform events of any scale with fresh, creative, and memorable food, delivered with meticulous attention to detail and genuine hospitality
Whether a multi-day themed event, an intimate backyard dinner, food festival-style company party or a conference buffet lunch, we collaborate closely with our clients to design events that feel seamless from start to finish.
La Pera Catering was founded by co-owners Bethany DiBaggio and Rafael Rodriguez who set out to bring a little creative flair to the Austin food & event scene. We create vibrant, exciting dishes - inspired by Beth’s background in Coastal Brazilian cuisine and many of Rafael’s childhood food memories, family recipes and travels in and around Guadalajara, Mexico.
From the beginning, our mission has been to create a hospitality community through creative, sustainable, delicious food; from cultured but healthy, to exotic and absolutely decadent. We are so proud of the team we have built, the eco-friendly and community initiatives we support & the culture we have created through our craft.

We strive to have our own brand of hospitality, which really makes our team unique! Our team is a collection of talented folks who love great food, are fun to interact with & make your event a breeze.
We believe strongly in a great company culture and actively meet with and train our team throughout the year on topics that range from equality in the workplace, to waste reduction, health and safety standards to building a stronger team and individual work life skills.
